Never on the market before, the Vello BG-C17 Battery Grip for Canon EOS Rebel SL2 & SL3 is specifically designed for these cameras because there was no battery grip available until now. Attaching the grip is done by installing the dummy battery into the camera's battery chamber, which is attached to the grip through the power supply cable, and tightening down the grip against the body via the thumbscrew into the 1/4"-20 tripod socket; a little of the power supply cable is left exposed, but does not interfere with the mounting.
