This deal is back: BuyDig via eBay has the Rokinon 8mm f/3.5 HD Fisheye for Canon for $199.99! This is the newer “HD” version of this popular lens, which features a detachable lens hood for full-frame shooters to get the widest field of view.

It regularly goes for $289-$329 at other authorized dealers, so at $199 this is an absolute steal; this is same price as the non-HD 8mm fisheye deal a few months ago!

You can see some fun and creative photos taken with the 8mm f/3.5 fisheye in the Flickr group for this lens.

Careful, I did this one last time, and they shipped me the original, and it took over a week to get a reply from them about a return.

Good to know. Did they ship you the right one in the end?

No, I got so fed up with the lack of communication that I just sent it back for a refund. Still a great deal if it can be had, I just wanted to make everyone aware of my (hopefully singular) experience.

I ordered the non-HD version from B&H for $209 on sale a few days ago. Sounds like this newer version has a better-calibrated focus ring. I’m not sure if I should buy this and return (or sell) the non-HD version, or just stick with the older model I will receive in a few days.

If you have a full-frame body, the ability to remove the hood is very nice.

Had no problem with the order from the last deal. Love the lens. Great sharp pictures.

      Nice. Mine’s really sharp too.

Not that DxO is the end al be al, but frankly, I’d like to see their ratings on this lens.
