A couple days ago we posted the oddity that the mail-in rebate for the Printer + paper was increased to $350, as can be seen on the original rebate form. At the time, both B&H and Adorama were showing the printer at $48 AR.
It looks like this appears to have been a mistake on Canon’s part, and they have quietly gone and re-issued new rebate forms with a value of $250 for Printer + Paper purchases (you can still get $350 if you buy Printer + Paper + Camera). See the new form on B&H’s site. B&H and Adorama have increased their prices to show $148 AR now.
It’s possible you could try to argue for the $350 rebate if you’ve already purchased just the printer + paper (and for that reason we’ll keep a copy of the original rebate form online), but Canon may just remind you that the rebate fine print says they’re “not responsible for … misprints or typographical errors.” Shame on Canon for not getting this right the first time.
