I would have loved 20% off on these deals. 🙂

They already sell out fast at regular price, so Canon has no incentive to give any significant discounts.

Why do you prefer Street Prices?

Probably for the same reason a lot of us do. It’s new gear as opposed to refurbished (to be clear, I buy both, I like refurbished, I have no issue with refurbished, but some people will only buy new), it comes from reputable dealers, etc. Probably the biggest reason though, I just bought a 6D with 24-105 L kit for less than it would have cost to purchase a refurb 6D and 24-105 L from Canon’s refurb store. My new 6D will come out to be $1940, Canon’s refurb store would cost $2323 with tax. I don’t know about you, but I’d rather have a new product for $383 less. Not only that, but the street prices are always in stock, getting a refurbished product can take time and if you miss a restock, you may be out of luck for quite a while. The street prices are so good it makes waiting around for a refurb restock a thing of the past.

How bad is the hassle of dealing with the rebates via the cards?

Crap! I really hope Canon does another sale like this in middle-late December. That’s when I get my lens money and REALLY need a 100mm L.
