A massive instant rebate started today on the EOS-1D X from Canon USA authorized dealers. For example, Amazon now has the Canon EOS-1D X for $5299.00.
UPDATE: We are told that Amazon jumped the gun on the instant rebate by one week, and they have corrected it by returning the price back to $5999. Don’t worry, we’ll see this discounted price again soon, on Sunday…
Our street price from an authorized Canon USA dealer has also correspondingly dropped to $4899.
This price drop brings the price of USA EOS-1D X more in-line to what we’ve seen from the grey / import market, currently $4499 but seen as low as $4100 in recent eBay frenzies.
