    I bought my 70D refurbished at a slightly higher price two weeks ago. If you’ve never purchased a refurbished body, don’t hesitate. Other than the more generic box, I can’t tell it from a brand new body.

    Thanks to a post here I jumped on a refurbished SL1 with kit lens and a free PowerShot back in December. After selling the kit lens and PS, the final cost was just over $200 after tax for a camera that is essentially a smaller T5i without the flippy screen and fewer cross AF points. $300 is a steal for that camera if you can live with the small size and my shutter count was only about 300 when it arrived. It looks a little awkward with L lenses but mounting a larger flash on it balances the weight out nicely and it’s almost pocketable with a pancake attached.
