Amazon: $200 Credit w/ Purchase, 7D Mark II $1099, 35L II $1599 (Net)

Amazon has a very interesting scheme for working around the Canon Minimum Advertised Price policy: when you buy selected cameras or lenses, and use coupon code “CAMERAGIFT” at check-out, you get a $200 credit in your account after 30 days. The credit can be used towards a future Amazon Camera, Photo & Video Store purchase.

For almost all of the eligible items, our street price is better than the $200 “discount”. The only exceptions are these two items:

• EOS 7D Mark II for $1099 (after $200 Amazon Credit)
• EF 35mm f/1.4L II for $1599 (after $200 Amazon Credit)

A pretty solid deal if you’re looking for either of the above, and have existing Amazon credit to use, or live in a no-Amazon-tax state. The Amazon Camera Store also includes categories such as accessories and memory cards, so it’s fairly easy to spend the $200 credit.
