In addition to the 10%-off sale that started last night, Canon added refurbished copies of popular super-telephoto lenses to their Canon Refurbished Store. They are selling fast. Many savvy readers were notified by e-mail of the addition last night, as they previously signed-up for notifications.

EF 500mm f/4L IS II USM is now $6479.28
EF 400mm f/2.8L IS II USM is now $7199.28
EF 400mm f/4 DO IS II is now $4967.28 (out of stock)

This now completes the super-telephoto line-up at the refurbished store, with all big-white super-telephoto lenses now available refurbished (except of course for the rare EF 1200mm.)

Personally, I’m surprised to see the 400mm DO II available refurbished as it’s still very lightly stocked at many dealers brand new.

I just bought two refurbished lenses through Canon. This is my first time purchasing refurbished.
