Time and time again the resale topic of this printer or print head come up and the reality is no one is buying. No one. It’s a huge paperweight for so many people.

That’s because if you’re trying to sell the printer you’re doing it wrong — sell the ink and print head. Looking at completed eBay listings alone, about 10 ink sets sold in the last two weeks with average price $100, and about a dozen print heads as well, average price about $80.

There is also huge interest on the Amazon marketplace for ink and print heads. You can read this post for more info:

Simply buy the printer to print your photos and be happy. It is a great printer.

They tried to give me one with a MIR with the purchase of my 6D. 300$ is a lot of money to not have and wait 3 to 6 months to get back.

I love CPW, truly, but this topic keeps coming up and I DID mention the print head. I have had my print head on CL, Ebay and Amazon with zero luck. I have been asking next to nothing, just basically covering my shipping costs and for local pickup no one wants the printer. The people who are having successes must be in a very different region/market. My sentiments have been echoed by many others everytime this topic arises.

Hmm I’ve gotten my rebates back on average by 3 weeks. I send it priority mail to verify they’ve received it. Got another one coming. This is an amazing printer and it matches the print quality of my lab. I just wish the paper said Canon professional paper. Some of the paper has no watermark on the back.

I’ll stick with saving my pennies for the Fuji Frontier.

I don’t know what to tell you, Barry, but looking at eBay completed listings people have been successfully selling the printhead for around $90. Could it be an issue with your listing? http://www.canonpricewatch.com/click.cgi?u=235142

I ended up with one during a promotion this past summer. Not having a need for it, stuck it on Craigslist with all the others listed there. It never sold.
Are they more valuable parted out or something?___
Is this why the Print Head Only listings, as well as the Printer Only – No Ink – No Print Head listings are so common?____
Then there is the included paper bundled in too.
      Can someone briefly explain?

I boughta second one for the ink. And the ink is a full set. I weighted it against a refill I purchased.
