Great price for a superb lens. But I did even better. Got one on ebay through an Aussie seller, so no US warranty, for $965, but $100 in ebay bucks came with it. which I put to good use for more gear! The lens is simply stellar.. as is the 150-600 G2 which I got 1/17 for 1099 due to an alert on cpw. You guys rawk!
