The 80D might be outclassed by some of the mirrorless offerings out there, but it is still a beast of a camera. For it’s price you can do a lot with this camera if you shoot stills, video, or both. Plenty good burst of 7fps with a buffer that will allow as many as 24 raw shots on a 95mbps card (pretty good for sports and even wildlife). The ISO performance is decent too for a crop, I’ve shot as high as 1600 ISO and got pretty usable photos (jsut don’t underexpose by too much). The -3EV has saved my butt when shooting in dark venues (Shot a band where the only light was their stage lights). 13 stops of DR is a little behind the competition, but it is still very useful (not that long ago 13 was god mode). 24mp makes pretty sharp images. DPAF for video with a flip out touchscreen, mic, and headphone jack make this really good for video. I liked mine so much I got a second to help cover events. The only thing I really wish it had was a second card slot for redundant shooting. 799 is better than refurb prices, so if you were looking at this one then I would say go for it.
