This lens punches WAY above it’s price. I bought one for about the same price in 2016 from Canon Direct on a refurbished sale. I use it weekly at least, mostly on an EOS M6 with EF-M adapter as a second or third video camera and, other than the less shallow depth of field, can’t see a difference between it and my 70-200 f/2.8 L. It also comes in very handy in a light weight, low-key still or video kit.
I constantly recommend this lens to people. Best telephoto for less than 1000 USD is what I like to call it, at least for crops. I picked one up from a refurb sale last year just to review it. Really impressive for an inexpensive lens.
