Hobbyist-Designed Tripod Leg Sleeves for $14.44 (after 15% Coupon)

Proof you can design and launch your own photography gear without going the Kickstarter route! Photographer Justinsmnz on the photography-on-the.net forum writes:

“I’ve wanted to find something like this for a while now, but could never find an existing product that worked to keep water and dirt out of my tripod leg locks when I shoot in dirty or wet conditions… Finally, I decide to reach out to some factories on my own to see if I could solve it for myself. To make a long story short, I now have more tripod sleeves than I know what to do with… because, as you might expect, they don’t really make this sort of thing one or two sleeves at a time.”

His tripod sleeves look quite durable and effective at keeping your tripod leg locks dry and clean, and have great reviews. Best of all they’re available for a very reasonable $16.99 via Amazon with free shipping. Use coupon “POTN15OFF” to discount down to $14.44. It’s great to see grassroots photography products!

I already purchased 2 sets of the large ones (well, I bought one and a friend saw me using them and took them from me lol, so I had to get another set).
They are awesome, at first it seemed like it would be a pain to use them but let me tell you, it is MUCH easier than taking your tripod apart to clean out the salt water/sand/mud/dirt/etc lol. I just purchased the travel tripod version since I just got myself a travel tripod (no, not the one that was advertised everywhere lol).
I definitely recommend these sleeves, if I could give them more than 5 stars I would!
