Another useful new product seen on Kickstarter: the Ultimate Lens Hood (ULH) 2.0 solves the age-old problem of unwanted glare or reflection when shooting through glass, with a soft silicone lens hood.
The wide end of the hood makes a nice seal with the glass, eliminating reflections caused by stray light. The narrow end of the hood stretches to fit many lenses — with a 50mm opening, it’s perfect for kit lenses (like the 18-55 or 75-300) all the way up to 82mm filter thread ‘pro lenses’.
An impressive product, but its best feature is the price: pledge only £17 (about $22 USD) to receive the “ULHgo” (fitting DSLRs and mirrorless cameras). Pledge £27 (about $34 USD) to receive both the DSLR and smartphone version of the lens hood — expected to ship in October. Less than 100 spots are left!
