If you don’t mind a hit in AF speed, this is a lovely lens. Much better color rendition and micro contrast than the Canon varieties.

From what I have heard it’s noticeably sharper too.

      Hi Barry,
I’m sure I would like this lens for landscape photography. But I would also like to use for fineart reproduction. My artworks are usually 36 x 48 inches or more. Would I be loosing sharpness in the corners? Thanks!

What’s the likelyhood on other Sigma lens deals at this point?

      Exactly 23.8%.

      No idea 🙂 We’ve already seen deals on the 85, 24, 150-600, and 24-105. What’s left that’s of interest? 35? 50? 14? 135?

The 50mm is what I’m watching.

I replaced my Canon 24-105L v1 late last year with the lens and have no regrets at all. Much sharper.

Word of caution- this lens has an issue with its Optical Stabilization when used on the EOS R. It will get stuck in a loop and bounce sideways repeatedly until you disengage the Auto focus switch. This is in video mode, it appeared to be fine in stills mode.

I owned it for years and used it without issue on the 80D and C200 but it was unusable for video on the EOS R so I sold it for the RF variant from Canon.
