According to Canon Rumors, this begins the clearance sale for the 1D X Mk II. So if anyone wants to grab this thing new, this will probably be your last, best chance.
I do photography as a hobby and don’t really use my 1D mark III (it’s a 2007 model which I got used for $1000). I was considering this 1D X mark II but noticed that there’s a 1D X mark III that’s supposed better for video (however it’s not on sale yet). So I’m thinking to just wait until the 1D X mark III model goes on sale.
I’m currently using a 5Ds (got it on the $1000 sale) primarily for my hobby pictures, and yeah it’s slow shutter speed, but what it gets looks great.
